Safety & Health Disclaimer

Coaching, training, and physical activity carry inherent risks of injury, including serious injury. By using Kynetiq you acknowledge these risks, accept the responsibilities below, and agree to participate at your own risk. This document forms part of the Terms of Service.

1. No medical advice or diagnosis

Kynetiq is a marketplace for coaching services. Nothing on the Platform and nothing said by a Coach is medical, physiotherapy, psychological, or nutritional advice, and nothing constitutes a diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prescription. Coaches are not your doctor. If you are pregnant, recovering from injury or surgery, living with a chronic condition, taking medication, or otherwise unsure whether you are fit to train, consult a qualified healthcare professional before booking.

2. No guarantee of results

Outcomes from coaching, training, and nutrition guidance vary between individuals and depend on many factors outside the Coach's or Kynetiq's control. No specific result - including weight loss, strength gain, performance improvement, injury recovery, or wellbeing outcome - is promised or guaranteed.

3. PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness)

You confirm, to the best of your knowledge, that:

  • your doctor has not told you to restrict physical activity due to a heart condition or other medical condition;
  • you do not experience chest pain, dizziness, or loss of consciousness during activity;
  • you do not have a joint, bone, or other condition that could be aggravated by training;
  • you are not currently taking medication whose effect could be made worse by exercise without supervision;
  • you are not pregnant in a way that contraindicates the activity you are booking.

If you cannot confirm any of the above, consult a doctor and disclose the condition to your Coach before any session.

4. Client responsibilities

  • Disclose all relevant medical conditions, medications, injuries, allergies, and physical limitations to your Coach before each session.
  • Train within your current ability; stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, or any other warning sign.
  • Bring suitable clothing, footwear, water, and any personal medication (such as inhalers or epi-pens) to every session.
  • Arrive sober and not under the influence of any substance that impairs judgement or co-ordination.
  • Comply with your Coach's reasonable safety instructions.

5. Coach responsibilities

  • Hold appropriate qualifications for every service offered, and arrange any insurance the Coach considers appropriate for their practice.
  • Screen Clients for contraindications and refuse or adapt a session where it would be unsafe.
  • Deliver every session sober and fit to coach.
  • Provide an appropriate warm-up, progression, and cool-down for the activity and the Client's level.
  • Hold a current first-aid qualification appropriate to the activity and know the location of the nearest emergency response option (defibrillator, A&E, on-site staff).
  • Stop a session immediately at any sign of distress, injury, or unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain professional boundaries - see the Coach Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy.

6. Assumption of risk and waiver

You voluntarily participate in coaching sessions and accept the risks involved, including but not limited to muscle strain, sprains, fractures, cardiovascular events, hyperthermia or hypothermia, equipment failure, third-party conduct, and other injury or loss. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and waive any claim against Kynetiq arising from participation in a session, the conduct of any Coach or Client, the condition of any location or equipment, or any failure of a third-party service. This waiver does not affect liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Nutrition and supplements

Any nutritional information shared on the Platform or by a Coach is general guidance only and is not a substitute for a registered dietitian, nutritionist, or doctor. Coaches must not prescribe, recommend, or supply prescription medication, controlled substances, or performance-enhancing drugs.

8. Adults only at launch

At launch, Kynetiq is available only to adults aged 18 and over. Coaching of minors and vulnerable adults is not supported on the Platform; Coaches must not knowingly accept bookings for under-18s or vulnerable adults. Where the Platform is later opened to under-18s or vulnerable adults, additional safeguarding requirements (including appropriate consent and qualifications) will apply.

9. Location and travel safety

  • Meet in public, well-lit locations whenever possible, especially for first sessions.
  • Verify identity via the in-app profile before meeting; consider a video introduction first.
  • Tell a friend or family member where and when you are meeting.
  • Coaches must hold any permissions required to use the proposed location (park licences, gym hire agreements, residential consent) and must not deliver sessions in unsafe environments.
  • Both sides may end a session and leave immediately if anything feels unsafe.

10. Equipment safety

  • Coaches are responsible for the safe condition, set-up, and use of any equipment they provide, and for inspecting it before each session.
  • Clients are responsible for the safe condition of any equipment they bring or provide and must disclose any defect.
  • Neither party should use equipment outside its rated capacity or its intended purpose.

11. Harassment and safeguarding

Kynetiq has zero tolerance for sexual misconduct, grooming, exploitation, harassment, threats, intimidation, discrimination, or any form of abuse. Any such conduct may result in immediate and permanent account termination, withholding of pending payouts where lawful, and a report to law enforcement. Anyone who feels unsafe should remove themselves from the situation first and report to support@kynetiq.appwith the subject "Safeguarding report".

12. Reporting incidents

Report any injury, near-miss, or safeguarding concern within 48 hours to support@kynetiq.appwith the subject "Incident report". Include the booking ID, date, the people involved, and a clear description of what happened.

13. Emergencies

In an emergency, contact your local emergency services first (for example 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU, 911 in the US). Do not wait for a Kynetiq response. Kynetiq is not an emergency service and cannot dispatch help.

Kynetiq is currently operated as an unincorporated trading name pending incorporation. Contact: support@kynetiq.app. These policies are commercially reasonable but are not a substitute for independent legal advice.
